Resources for the Online Ordained Minister

If you have recently been ordained as a minister online, or need to be in order to officiate a wedding you will find these ceremonies, lesson plans, and religious references invaluable. Even if you primarily sought ordination as a means to perform marriages it is widely recommend that you have a "regular congregation" meet once a week, month, or quarterly (whatever your church recommends) to lead a religious service. The congregation can be as small as you like, and you can hold it in your own home. But it should be on a regular schedule and saving some documentation (like notes or a bulletin) would be a great aid in legalizing your ordination in the eyes of the law.

Minister Ordination

If you are not yet an ordained minister then our recommendation is to go to the Church of Spiritual Humanism's web site and complete their online ordination form.

Minister ordination through Spiritual Humanism is free and fast. Where ever you choose to be ordained by make sure you agree with the principles and tenets of the Church that is granting you the authority to perform wedding ceremonies. Some online churches require you to believe the Bible is the literal word of God. Others were founded as tax dodges and have paid millions of dollars in fines to the IRS.

Being a minister can be fun and personally rewarding. I encourage any one who feels the calling to be a spiritual leader to others to become ordained.
